Start of Something New

Hi friends,
We are two girls who were looking to find a new challenge for the new year. We both liked the idea of creating a blog to share our experiences, recipes, crafts, photography and more. Our blog name was inspired by the song by Tyrone Wells, "And The Birds Sing." We both love birds and we thought this song was fun and uplifting. Give it a listen..... And the Birds Sing

A little bit about us...

I love life. I try to make the best of every situation, give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and ultimately try to be an all around positive person to be around.

I'm a college student, studying to be a preschool teacher. Kids and kid crafts are two of my favorite things. I'm a Pinterest addict (I'm sure most of you are too!). I Love cooking and photography but for some reason never take pictures of the food I cook. Hopefully this blog will encourage me to start taking pictures of my food.

I come from a fairly large family of 6, and have three younger brothers. I love Derek, my boyfriend, and my dog, Montana. Jesus is my friend and greatest supporter.

I'm  in love- in love with life, laughing, and finding God in all places. I recently graduated from college with a teaching credential and have joined the masses in searching for the job God called me to do-teaching . In the meantime, I fill my hours with hugging my boyfriend, Michael, quoting movies with my best friend Katie, and scanning Pinterest for sewing ideas, recipes, and quotes that inspire. Currently, I am on a mission to learn how to cook better and do my own laundry. A mighty mission to have, I know, and one I believe will be loads of fun! 

I am enjoying this life I am living. I have two brothers (one of which is my twin), a sister, and a dog named Louie who is a bit of a frady-cat at times. I am also an aunt, great aunt, registered voter, substitute teacher, person who sews, library card user, and in the words of Frank Sinatra, " I've got the world on a string, I'm sitting on a rainbow. Got that world wrapped around my finger. 

What a world, what a life, I'm in love!"
